New Wellness research launched

To mark Mental Health Awareness week 2019 (13th -19th May), Capita has launched its ground-breaking research: The Workplace Wellness Report.

Examining all three aspects of wellbeing (financial, mental and physical) for the first time, the report reveals that employees across the UK are worried about their financial situation and are experiencing significant amounts of stress at work, and that almost a quarter (24%) have taken time off work due to stress.

Conducted online in March 2019, among 1,514 UK employees, the report reveals that:

  • 45% have considered leaving a job because of the stress it's caused them
  • 49% weren't sure whether their line manager would know what to do if they talked to them about a mental health issue
  • 52% were worried they'd be judged by their colleagues if they took too much time off sick

About our research

We commissioned an online survey of 1,514 UK employees aged 16+, which was conducted in March 2019. Participants were all members of the Research Now survey panel.

To ensure that a good cross-section of UK employees was interviewed, survey quotas were set for respondents. The data are unweighted. Results are based on all respondents, unless otherwise stated. Where percentages do not sum to 100%, this may be due to rounding, the exclusion of don’t know/not applicable responses or multiple responses. We have applied a 95% confidence level where we highlight statistically significant differences between groups of employees.
